Hydrovane VXA2D/X/AH purchased at the end of 2001 for my Moody 44 (90’s).

The Hydrovane was installed in early 2002 and remained fitted for 2 – 3 years and then removed so that the davits could be used. The Hydrovane has been stored in my garage since that time.

The Hydrovane was never used; the rudder has not touched water and the vane was never fitted.

Unfortunately, I do not have any photographs of the unit as fitted.

The cost (without fitting) at the time was £3,350. Any sensible offer considered.

Hi George,

I am interested if still for sale. Would help to understand the davits situation as we have them too. Obviously the hydrovane could not be used with the dingy on the davits but could it coexist with the davits/no dingy?

Ben

Hi Ben,

I had the Hydrovane was fitted (2002) after the davits were installed (1999). The stern of the M44 means that the choice is is either the dinghy on the davits or the Hyrdovane and no dinghy on the davits (see fitting diagram for my M44).

Thanks George - I think this is too early for me (I want one but don't need it yet). Great name for your boat BTW. Ben

No problem Ben, the Hydrovane is not going anywhere. If you know the name, then you know Coventry.
