Moody 31 MkII Corrosion on Moody 31 MKII keel bolts

Hello, the keel bolts of my Moody 31 MKII present corrosion as shown in the following picture. There is no water leakage/inlet. What do you suggest? Is it feasible to remove them?

I'd start by knocking all the loose rust so that you can see what is left. Mine looked terrible until cleaned up and then they were fine and just needed treating.

If there is no leakage then they must have sat in some water to get like that. The fridge drain and the shower water just goes into the bilge unless a shower pump has been installed. Are they all like that? I am assuming this is a fin keeler as you have such a clear view of them.

If there is no meat left on the nut then they do need to be replaced. You won't get the nut off - the whole stud will come out. You could do one at a time, preferably when the boat is out and on its keel. There will be articles about that in the technical section.

In the meantime don't panic and enjoy the summer.
