I have a Furlex Type 'B' headsail roller removed from my Moody 46 from year 2000

It is complete (apart from missing feeder) with bottle screw adjustment, top and bottom swivels, all foils with twin 5mm grove, In working order when removed.

Length over all 18.64 M (Bearing point to Bearing point)
Total hoist 17.47M
Wire 12mm (Wire age unknown)

If it's in good shape, I could well be interested as it should be working better than Wid Thyme's original 1989 model. Unfortunately I'm currently abroad and won't be back in the UK until until around 12 September and I need to check whether our standing rigging is 10 or 12mm. Also need to consider how to dismantle for transport, but Wild Thyme is due for stading rigging replacement any way.

Hi Peter,

It was all working when I took it off, I replaced it with an Electric Furler as it was very hard graft pulling the 140% genoa away on the 46.

I may have a solution to getting it to SYH in one piece, which I will investigate my end, as taking these old foils apart is apparently a challenge!!

Hi Nick,

Finally got back aboard Wild Thyme today and I find her rigging is 10 mm wire, so your furler will not fit. Sorry I wasn't sure about that before it would have been good for us if 10mm.
